The venue for these lectures and talks is usually based at the Bristol Youth Hostel Narrow Quay Bristol. We hope that you will enjoy your walks with us, the website has a programme for you to download and print off. It is very simple look at the programme pick a walk you fancy and give the walk leader a call on the phone. Maybe share a lift with someone he will be able to let you know if someone is coming from your area. The Group has been active for 75 years and walks in all areas of the country. If theres a hostel there the group have stayed there for a weekend and had some good walking. The group does walks locally usually on a sunday and on a tuesday in the week. Average distance is typically 7-8 miles but some do more anything up to 15miles. Trips to the theatre and to the Hazelbury Manor open theatre are done annually. Social Gatherings sometimes chat over coffee and we have been known to do canoeing on the wye in Canadian canoes. The group is run by volunteers and we want to do all sorts of activities in the coming years. So come along and meet the group and if you have skills you would like to share with us, even bring new ideas in to the group we look forward to meeting you. |
